What is a drive on four wheels?
I had a 4×4 a few years ago and owns a Toyota Hilux 1997. 4×4 vehicles designed to run on rock surfaces, moist, soft, bumpy and unforgiving. normal cars are just two-wheel drive, 4wd four wheel vehicle (hence the 4×4 or 4WD), giving more grip for driving in difficult terrain. They also have more space, more storage capacity and the ability to tow a boat, caravan or motor caravan with ease. driving on four wheels is a huge sport in the world, and is also popular with country tour or just disappear for the weekend. Owning a four wheel drive means you can ride on a beach, climbing a steep slope full of holes and even take your family in some remote place for the weekend!
4WD Type
There is a wide range of four-wheel drive available, the most common brands, Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, Range Rover, Land Rover, Suzuki, Ford, Holden and even Mercedes. Any brand of cars have a different way of building their own cars, which explains why each one of the strengths and weaknesses. Today, 4WD is still a lot more security conscious, which means they are often not well off the road as part of the previous unit on all four wheels under normal conditions. And with more electronics and difficult, they tend to be not as strong and reliable off-road (and more things go wrong). In saying this, you can change a new car now with the right parts to be very capable and reliable.
Where I can drive?
This question can be answered largely on where you live and what the law imposes restrictions. In Australia we drive on a large number of beaches, dunes (including Lancelin) and tracks that pass through the mountain. Of course there are areas where you can not handle, but you just do some research and work a way around them! Note that some numbers will be much more difficult than others, and when a song is too complicated for your vehicle that you can make some costly damage to vehicles or persons. A good four-wheel drive can drive on sand, mud, rocks, snow, and combinations thereof. Being able to control whereas a normal car can not solve opens a whole new set of options, fishing on the beach, camping and visiting a country.
As the drive (and how not)
Like other sports, 4×4 something that can only be learn by doing or watching. Unlike other sports, if you make mistakes, can be very expensive, so it is important to learn things slowly and at a price you feel comfortable. Several areas require a different driving style, where you will learn with time. The best advice I can give is that only the routes that are familiar to you. There are a number of courses in four-wheel drive you can do if you want, and this is a good understanding of what should be done to make. There are a lot of skills off-road driving, you learn over time. There is also much to say in the recovery of the vehicle where to go and what to avoid. I’ll go into more detail in future entries.
4×4 what suits you?
Buying a drive in the four wheels can be a very big, so it’s a smart move for serious research first. The 4WD that suits you best depends on what you want. One source I recommend the 4WD monthly forum. This guide gives you a great base to full professional changes, driving and more. The general theory behind the purchase of your drive four-wheel drive is making a list of what you want to be able to do, and then find a convenient vehicle for doing things over and over again.
I bought my 1997 Toyota Hilux for almost a year, for various reasons. I have listed my car requirements below, and the Hilux has met each of these:
• Must be strong, capable off-road and easy to adjust without portfolio
• If you look good
• Must be reliable and inexpensive to fix if something goes wrong
• Must be efficient (converting to gas, which means that an inexpensive car and running now is cheaper than most small cars petrol)
• Must be easy to clean (vinyl floors and seats are large)
• Must be capable of votes cast at work (wood, tools, etc)
I must say that I was not disappointed at all, but I carefully planned what I wanted in my 4×4 and then I made my choice. Maybe you want an average car is off road, but will tour Australia with ease, while using the family computer? Perhaps the need for towing capability for large boat or a car that is practically indestructible? Obviously, it is unlikely that the car is perfect, but with the mind and the necessary adjustments can be found in a car that almost everything we want to do it. The only small problem I have is that the Hilux is very strong (but this is a good compromise for fuel economy). This makes it difficult for the distance with a trailer and a boat trip down the road. In saying this, I am more than happy with the car!
Changes
When buying a new four-wheel drive from the factory, they are usually pretty bad in the most severe off-road. cheap tires are road traction poor that game, a little bar work, the engines are not as powerful as they could, and lacking many 4×4 accessories to offer. You can adjust the suspension, lift the body, bypassing the time, bumpers and behind bars, places and add a support wheel loader in the rear of the machine, since the engine to dual fuel , put bigger tires and different wheels, change of discharge and hope for more. Because four-wheel drive is so popular that a number of changes you can do for your vehicle, regardless of brand. The important thing to remember is to change what is legal in your area and to do what you want to change your car! Ersatzteile Toyota
